Coaching
Generally speaking, coaching is more goal oriented and focused than therapy. People hire a coach when they know what they want to do and know how to go about it but just can’t seem to get themselves to follow through. It’s like hiring a personal trainer sure, you could work out alone, but the question is, will you?
Weekly goals are generated with the coach serving the valuable function of making the client be accountable to someone. Just knowing that youre accountable to someone makes a vast difference, and youll find that youre more likely to complete tasks because otherwise youll have to explain why you didnt. The fact that youre spending money on the sessions is also a strong motivator.
Many people find coaching useful when they are tired of their career path and want to make a change. It’s easy to get caught up in your day to day life, getting things done in order to maintain the status quo at home and at work but not managing to move forward in pursuit of your personal vision.
We’ll discuss strategies for organizing yourself, prioritizing your agenda or to-do list, and eliminating time wasters so that you free up the time and energy you need to realize your goals.
If youre still not sure if coaching is for you, I can offer you two alternatives:
1. Write down what you want to do and a reasonable time frame in which to achieve it. If you reach your deadline and it isnt done, call me for a coaching session.
2. Call for a complimentary coaching session, and decide based upon the results whether or not its something that you wish to pursue further.
